

The sudden passing of Abisola Kola-Daisi, daughter of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has sent shockwaves throughout the community. Hon. Yinka Akinbode, erstwhile Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, has joined the chorus of mourners, paying tribute to Abisola’s remarkable life and legacy.
Akinbode described Abisola’s demise as “shocking and painful,” highlighting her exceptional qualities as a proud daughter of Oyo State and Nigeria. “Abisola was one of the few individuals who had the love of her fatherland at heart,” he said. “She believed that Oyo State and Nigeria should be a pride among their contemporaries, and she worked tirelessly to promote development in all fields of life”.
Abisola’s short but impactful life was marked by her kindness, humanity, and dedication to the betterment of her community. Akinbode noted that her passing would be deeply felt not only by her peers but by everyone whose life she had touched productively.
In this difficult time, Akinbode prayed that God would grant the Ajimobi and Kola-Daisi families the strength to bear their loss. “I pray that God will console the two families and give them the grace to bear the loss,” he said.
