Chief Abdul Waheed Ajao Adurodekun, affectionately known as Olumota 1, stood before a jubilant crowd, his voice ringing with gratitude as he expressed heartfelt appreciation to the multitude of personalities, communities, and institutions that contributed to the resounding victory of the PDP in the recent election in Ona Ara local government area.
In a speech brimming with humility and sincerity, Chief Adurodekun began by acknowledging the divine hand of Allah and expressing gratitude to Governor Makinde for his support and guidance. He then turned his attention to key figures within the PDP, paying tribute to Hon Moshobalaje Bakare, Chairman of the party in Ona Ara, whose unwavering belief in his leadership paved the way for success.
Chief Adurodekun also noted the instrumental role played by Eng Dotun Sanusi (ilaji), a beacon of hope and prosperity in Ona Ara, whose generosity and vision uplifted the entire community. He also extended his thanks to Rt Hon Abiodun Fadeyi, Deputy Speaker of Oyo State, for his invaluable contributions and presence during the campaign.
The Chief didn’t forget to commend Hon Ezekiel Temitope (Otope) and Hon Taiwo Oke, recognizing their leadership and dedication. He also expressed appreciation for the tireless efforts of Hon Mufutau Ogunremi and Hon Obisesan, acknowledging their indispensable roles in the campaign.
Chief Adurodekun’s gratitude didn’t end there. He also thanked the council of Ona Ara elders, the PDP executive, campaign forces, ward chairmen, women leaders, youths, and all residents for their unwavering support. He recognized the sacrifices made by families and friends, and even those whose contributions may have slipped his mind.
