The chairman, Ilaji Farms, Hotels and Resort, Engr. Dotun Sanusi has called the citizens to support every political administrator in the country in the spate of relieving the pangs of fuel subsidy removal.
Engr. Dotun Sanusi made the submission following a viral video on egg palliative, which from some quarters has been regarded major handiwork of himself.
Dotun Sanusi said the fuel subsidy removal has added more hardship in the country, despite, it is very necessary for any progressive minded administrator to do, noted that the government alone cannot put smile on the citizens now, rather, every wealthy individual should identify those they could assist within their reach.
The Apesinola of Yorubaland added that he decided to embark on eggs palliative, with the co-ordination of the Iyaloja General of Oyo State, Alhaja Saratu Aduke Konibaje for proper distribution among the struggling market traders, hawkers across the state.
Meanwhile, Engr. Dotun Sanusi stressed that the citizens should co-operate with the government of Governor Seyi Makinde, who consistently vows to deliver due democratic dividends to all irrespective of political affialiation.
Recall, in the video on social media, critics of the State Government’s food palliatives have erroneously ascribed distribution of eggs as Governor Seyi Makinde’s palliatives to the ‘poorest of the poor’, arguing the government should not be giving eggs to the people as against the rice, beans and other food items promised by the government.
In a reaction, the Iyaloja General Of Oyo State, Alhaja Saratu Aduke Konibaje said the decision made by the proprietor of Ilaji Hotels and Resort and ICAST is to complement the successful government of both the governor of Oyo State and the country’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Giving has been his ministry and pastime. He is in support of the Government of Engr Seyi Makinde, and Bola Ahmed Tinubu and as well providing the needed people towards their alleviating sufferings and poverty.”
“He is presently not in the country but has given a directive that the Farm should henceforth and on daily basis, flood the markets with eggs freely, so as to complement the food palliatives arranged by both the State and federal government”
“And he is doing it through the Iyaloja-General of the State, Alhaja Saratu Aduke Konibaje and indeed other market leaders to ensure that the eggs percolate every nook and cranny of the State,” Iyaloja- General maintained.
