Oyo state workers on Tuesday pelted the Executive Assistant on Administration to the state governor, Rev. Idowu Ogedengbe as it continued its peaceful protest on the second day at the frontage of the state secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan.
The governor aide who came peacably to address the angry workers was turned deaf ears to, as the workers insisted the state governor remains their employer, noted that intermediary creation in between the state government and the workforce has been too negative on the growth and development of the state workforce.
In his reaction, Oyo State Chairman, Association of Senior Civil Servants, Comrade Kolawole Ismael Badmus called the state governor to address the workers personally physical, noted that the informed release of four months deduction arrears is yet to be formalized.
Badmus maintained that the workers have unanimously concluded to wait for the state governor, Seyi Makinde’s appearance as without this the workers would never back down.
Recall, the workers hinted on Monday that they are dissatisfied with the performance of second term re-appointed special assistant on Labour Matters to the governor, Comrade Bayo Titilola-Sodo.
