The National Chairman of Accord, Honourable Muhammed Lawal Nalado, will on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, lead other prominent members of the party to Iseyin for the Oyo North Senatorial Campaign Flag-off of Honourable (Dr.) Shina Abiola Peller.
Comrade Kola Popoola, Press Secretary, office of Honourable Shina Peller disclosed this in a release made available to news men.
According to him, “the flag-off, which is scheduled to hold at Adabo Market, Palace Square, Ode Oba Iseyin, will witness a formal declaration of support for Honourable Peller’s candidacy by thousands of decampees from other political parties.
“Other prominent members of the party expected at the event are Accord National Secretary, Honourable Adebukola Ajaja, the Oyo State gubernatorial candidate of the party in the forthcoming elections, Abdul-Waheed Adebayo Adelabu, his running mate, Professor Abiodun Ayandele, other National Executive Committee members and political leaders from the thirteen local government areas in Oyo North Senatorial District.
“Others are all candidates pf Accord in the entire Oyo North Senatorial District, all the chairmen and executive members of the party in all the thirteen local government areas, prominent sons and daughters of the Oke-Ogun region both at home and in the diaspora, student and youth leaders, women leaders and groups, representatives of different professional associations and indigenous groups among others.
“It would be recalled that Honourable Peller, who currently represents the people of Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa federal constituency at the green chamber, had few days ago empowered thousands of his constituents with items like cars, tricycles, motorcycles, knapsack sprayers, grinding machine, sewing machine, hair dryers, deep freezers, generators, cash gift and others.
“The Oke Ogun-born federal lawmaker, who is now contesting for Senate on the platform of Accord for Oyo North Senatorial District, has consistently maintained that he is on a rescue mission to liberate the people of Oke-Ogun from oppressive regime, which have been dominating them over the years”, Popoola said
