It was reported that the Divisional Crime Officer(DCO) whose name not yet ascertained at Iganna and one other Fulani who was at the custody of the Police Station in Iganna, Iwajowa Local Government, Oyo State were killed as a result of reprisal attack from Igangan in Ibarapa North Local Government.
According to the eyes witness who pleaded anonymity told our reporter that, “a charcoal man from Igangan met some officers of Nigeria Police Force at the check point in Iganna requesting for money as the driver denied, then he was asked to bring vehicle document which resulted to argument, out of provocation the police pointed gun at the driver as a result, the driver started dragging gun with the Police, eventually, the driver was shot at leg and was rushed to the hospital.
Thereafter, a call was made to Igangan by the loyalists of the driver to inform them about the incident. In less than two hours, boys from Igangan arrived at the Police Station fully armed, shot at the DCO and one Fulani at Police custody.
We further learnt that another Police officer sustained bullet injury but was taken to the hospital but the DPO ,was at large and those that perpetrated evil have disappeared to the tin air.
