IBADAN, Oyo State — Hon. Engr. Dr. Aderemi Abas Oseni, Member representing Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Road Maintenance Agency, FERMA, and All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District in the 2027 elections, has donated ₦5 million in support of the solar power project of Anfani Muslim Community Central Mosque, Ibadan South-West Local Government Area.

The donation is intended to advance the implementation of the mosque’s renewable energy initiative. The project is expected to improve power supply for worship, religious activities, and community programmes at the facility.

Speaking on the gesture, Hon. Remi Oseni described the opportunity to support faith-based institutions as both a blessing and a profound responsibility. He emphasized that service to humanity remains one of the highest callings, and that institutions devoted to worship and communal development deserve consistent backing from public office holders.
“Indeed, it is always a blessing and a profound responsibility to contribute to the work of God and support initiatives that strengthen our faith communities,” he stated. “Service to humanity remains one of the highest callings, and whenever we are presented with the opportunity to uplift institutions devoted to worship and communal development, we must embrace it with sincerity and gratitude.”
The federal lawmaker further stressed that every privilege to serve is a divine trust. He pledged continued commitment to supporting projects that advance the cause of God and improve the welfare of communities within his capacity.

“We must understand that every privilege to serve is a divine trust. Whatever lies within our God-given capacity to support the advancement of God’s work, we shall continue to do with humility and commitment,” Hon. Oseni said. “For if one chooses to neglect an assignment of service, God, in His infinite wisdom, can raise others to fulfil His purpose.”
Hon. Remi Oseni, who chairs the House Committee on FERMA, has been consistent in combining legislative duties with direct community interventions across Ido/Ibarapa East and the broader Oyo South Senatorial District. His focus on faith institutions, education, and infrastructure aligns with his broader message of inclusive representation as he prepares for the 2027 senatorial race.
The Anfani Muslim Community Central Mosque serves thousands of worshippers in Ibadan South-West and its environs. The solar power project is expected to reduce dependence on the national grid, cut operational costs, and ensure uninterrupted religious and social activities, especially during periods of power outage.
Concluding his remarks, Hon. Aderemi Abass Oseni offered prayers for the growth of religious institutions and the peace of the state. “May Almighty God continue to strengthen His church and mosque, bless our communities with peace, and prosper every effort geared towards the advancement of faith and humanity,” he prayed.
The donation adds to a growing list of constituency interventions by Hon. Aderemi Abass Oseni, reinforcing his reputation as a lawmaker who blends legislative responsibility with grassroots impact ahead of 2027.
