Ibadan, Oyo State – The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Joint Campus Council (JCC), Oyo State, has thrown its weight behind Hon. Sheriff Segun Adesina’s candidacy for the Oyo State House of Assembly, Ibadan North West State Constituency.
In a statement signed by Ibrahim Oladipupo Ajuwon, General Secretary, NANS JCC Oyo State, and Abdulazeez Uthman Olawale, Chairman, NANS JCC Oyo State, the association expressed its confidence in Adesina’s leadership capacity, credibility, and commitment to humanitarian service.
“NANS is proud to celebrate and motivate one of our own as he steps forward to contest for the Oyo State House of Assembly, Ibadan North West Constituency,” the statement read. “As a seasoned unionist, what inspires us most is seeing individuals grow beyond student unionism into conventional politics and excel in all spheres of life.”
The association praises Adesina’s track record, performance, and outstanding antecedents in service to humanity, stating that he possesses the competence, character, and compassion required to deliver effective and people-oriented representation.
“We believe he has the ability to enrich the democratic process and contribute positively to effective representation,” the statement added. “We hereby recommend Hon. Sheriff Segun Adesina popularly known as SSA as a credible and capable candidate to any political party of his choice, and to the good people of Ibadan North West State Constituency.”
The endorsement is a significant boost to Adesina’s campaign, coming from a prominent student organization that has a strong presence in Oyo State. The support is expected to galvanize students and young people in the state to rally behind Adesina’s candidacy.
The statement concluded, “We are optimistic that his participation will further enrich the democratic process and contribute positively to effective representation.”
