As part of activities leading up to the much-anticipated Oyo Youth Summit 2025, an awareness and sensitization walk will be held concurrently across the five major zones in Oyo State on Tuesday, 29th April 2025.
The walk, designed to galvanize youth participation and promote the summit’s objectives, will commence promptly at 10:00 AM in designated convergence points across the zones. Participants across the state are expected to gather at the following locations:
- Ibadan Zone: Government House Arcade, Agodi Gate, Ibadan
- Ogbomoso Zone: Ogbomoso South Local Government Secretariat, Arowomole, Ogbomoso
- Oyo Zone: Atiba Town Hall, Oyo
- Ibarapa Zone: Lanlate Old Garage
- Oke Ogun Zone: Iseyin Town Hall, opposite Iseyin Palace
The sensitization exercise aims to create widespread awareness about the Oyo Youth Summit 2025, themed “Unlocking Youth Potential: Addressing Needs, Fulfilling Dreams.” It also serves to encourage young people to take charge of their future, aligning with the youth-centric vision of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration.
The summit, a brainchild of the Oyo State Ministry of Youth and Sports under the leadership of Commissioner Hon. Wasilat Adegoke, is set to empower young people through keynote addresses, panel discussions, skill exhibitions, and a special dinner and award night.
The Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engineer Seyi Makinde, will serve as the Chief Host of the event, with Dr. (Mrs.) Victoria Onaolapo, Managing Director of Bovas Group, delivering the keynote address.
All youths aged 18–45 years are encouraged to participate fully, starting with the awareness walk, and take advantage of the many opportunities the summit promises to offer.
The Oyo Youth Summit 2025 represents another bold step by the Makinde-led administration in ensuring that the energy, creativity, and aspirations of Oyo State youths continue to set the pace for excellence across Nigeria.
