Ogbomoso Set To Honor The Memory Of Late Former House Of Reps’ Member, Temilola Adibi

The city of Ogbomoso is set to pay its last respects to Hon. Temilola Segun Adibi, a former member of the House of Representatives, who passed away on January 21, 2025, at the age of 64. Adibi’s burial ceremony will take place on Friday, March 21, 2025, with a series of events planned to honor his memory.

As a respected figure and community leader, Adibi’s impact on Ogbomoso and beyond cannot be overstated. He represented Ogbomoso North South and Oriire Federal Constituency from 1999 to 2003 and served as the chairman of Oyo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (OYSAA). Adibi was also a former chairman of Ogbomoso North local government and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The burial plan, released by the family, includes a service of songs at Okelerin Baptist Church, Ogbomoso, on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 5:00 PM. On Friday, March 21, 2025, a lying-in-state will take place at the family residence in Osi-Agoro Compound, Idi-Abebe Area, Ogbomoso, before the funeral service at Okelerin Baptist Church, beginning at 10:00 AM. A reception will follow the burial rites at Jodeb Ultimate Event Centre, No. 2 Adetoyese Idowu Street, along Christ Zion Prayer Ministry (A.K.A Ayelowa), Oke Anu Area, Ogbomoso.

Tributes have poured in for Adibi, with many describing him as a “political titan” whose contributions to the development of his community, state, and country cannot be overestimated. His legacy will undoubtedly live on through the countless lives he touched during his lifetime.
