Rose Idibia, the mother of renowned Nigerian singer Innocent “2face” Idibia, has made a heartfelt appeal to Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, urging her to leave her son alone during this challenging period. Mrs. Idibia expressed deep concern about 2face’s well-being, citing his ongoing divorce from actress Annie Idibia as a significant factor contributing to his current emotional state.
In a viral video, Mrs. Idibia called on Nigerian mothers to join her in appealing to Osawaru, requesting that she remove the beads she had placed on 2face’s hand and neck. This development comes amidst the controversy surrounding 2face’s relationship with Osawaru, which has sparked intense debate and speculation.

The drama began when a video surfaced online showing 2face proposing to Osawaru at an event. The clip, which sparked mixed reactions, came just days after he publicly confirmed his relationship with the lawmaker. Speculation about their involvement had been circulating for weeks, fueled by 2face’s appearances at the Edo State Assembly and a Lagos club with Osawaru.
Addressing the rumors, 2face took to Instagram to set the record straight. He dismissed claims that Osawaru was a homewrecker, insisting that she had no role in his marital issues. Instead, he described her as a brilliant and amazing woman, stating that he loves her and wants to marry her.
Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly, represents the Egor Constituency under the Peoples Democratic Party. She was elected in April 2023 and hails from Edo State.
As the drama continues to unfold, Mrs. Idibia’s plea to Osawaru has sparked a national conversation about the complexities of relationships, family dynamics, and the challenges of navigating public scrutiny.
