In a bold and successful operation, the Kaduna State Police Command has rescued 23 kidnapped victims from the clutches of armed bandits. The daring rescue mission was carried out on February 2, 2025, in the Kajuru area, following reliable intelligence about the movement of the bandits.
According to the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Mansir Hassan, the police forces, backed by military support, moved into the bush near Doka Village in Kajuru Local Government Area. There, they confronted the bandits, who were attempting to transport their captives to Kajuru Forest. The operation, led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Kajuru, resulted in casualties among the bandits, forcing them to retreat into the forest with injuries.
The successful rescue operation has brought relief to the families of the kidnapped victims, who had been missing from Kauru Local Government Area. The police have reunited the victims with their families, ensuring their safe return.
To prevent future criminal activities, the Kaduna State Police Command has announced plans to increase surveillance and patrols in the area. Commissioner of Police, CP Rabiu Muhammad, has reassured the public of the Command’s commitment to ensuring security. He emphasized that the Command will continue to work closely with the military and other security agencies to maintain peace and fight crime in the state.
