Former Deputy Governor and PDP Chieftain in Oyo State, His Excellency Alhaji Hazeem Gbolarumi has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of New Year and urged them to imbibe the spirit of tolerance, understanding, hard work, and sincerity in all their dealings
In a press release by his spokesman, Olaniyi Stephen, in Ibadan this morning, Gbolarumi asked Nigerians to see 2025 as a year of blessing and one full of bountiful opportunities for the country while congratulating Nigerians for entering yet another year, a year he said calls for prayers for the nation.
He equally urged for prayers for the nation to overcome its current security and economic challenges, disclosing that the nation would only attain its full potential in an environment that is peaceful.
Gbolarumi appealed to politicians to play by the rules of the game, cautioned against provocative utterances, and eschewed violence, stating that the nation and not personal interest should come first in the minds of Nigerians.
He felicitates with Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde for the purposed and focused-driven leadership the state has experienced since the period he assumed office, and prays God to grant him the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to continue to pilot the affairs of the state to the desired destination,and urged the government to encourage youths to embark on meaningful ventures to enable them contribute their quota for the development of the state.
Gbolarumi lauded citizens of the state for their support, patience and show of understanding to Engr Seyi Makinde led administration, he solicited more of such support, urged the people of Oyo state to be watchful, and to remain vigilant at all times especially given the need for citizens to be security conscious.
He urges the people of the state to continue to support and pray for the success of His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde,
irrespective of their religion and political affiliations, and to use this period to pray for Nigeria to overcome the current insecurity and economic challenges bewildered by the country.
He prayed for a prosperous 2025 for the nation Nigeria, Oyo State in particular, maintaining that he is optimistic that the country and the state would attain its full potential to meet the yearning and aspirations of the people.
