PDP Chieftain, Adurodekun Dismisses False Reports, Affirms Jubril Dotun Sanusi’s Family Backing For 2027 Gubernatorial Bid

Prominent Oyo State politician, Chief Waheed Ajao Adurodekun, has categorically denied reports suggesting that members of Chief Engr Jubril Dotun Sanusi’s family and associates are opposed to his potential gubernatorial bid in 2027. Adurodekun, a respected figure with over four decades of experience in politics, stated that these claims are “falsehood and clear misinformation.”
After consulting with members of the Sanusi family and close associates, Adurodekun affirmed that they are in full support of the Chief Executive Officer of Ilaji Hotels & Sports Resort and ICAST, Chief Engr Jubril Dotun Sanusi’s potential candidacy for the governorship position. He emphasized that the decision ultimately lies with Almighty God, who will guide the process and ensure its fruitful accomplishment.
Adurodekun, a PDP party chieftain, clarified that he is not speaking as a spokesman for the family but rather as a concerned stakeholder seeking to set the record straight. He urged the people of Oyo State to disregard the false reports and be confident in the support of Sanusi’s family and associates should he accept the invitation to serve as governor.
Adurodekun attributed the misinformation to rival figures who may be intimidated by the Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi’s widespread acceptability and potential candidacy. He reiterated that the call for Sanusi to serve as governor is borne out of a sincere intention to have a capable leader who can sustain the good legacies of Governor Seyi Makinde and bring further development to Oyo State.
