As Team Nigeria gears up for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Nigerian Boxing Team, accompanied by officials from the Nigeria Boxing Federation, has arrived at Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort for their local camping. This move aims to provide a conducive environment for the athletes to prepare for the prestigious event, scheduled to take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort has a rich history with the Nigerian Boxing Federation, having hosted the team before the last All-African Games, where they achieved remarkable success with eight gold and two silver medals. The resort is committed to continuing this tradition of excellence and support.
Selected by the Federal Ministry of Sports Development as one of the venues for athletes’ preparations, alongside Oyo, Lagos, Bayelsa, and the FCT, Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort has been rated as one of the best sporting and training centers in Africa.
During a strategic meeting at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, Senator John Enoh emphasized the importance of thorough preparations, promising that foreign training tours for the athletes will follow immediately after the domestic camp.
With top-notch facilities and a supportive environment, Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort is poised to play a crucial role in the Nigerian Boxing Team’s preparation for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
