The traditional council of Obas in Oyo state has reiterated its total support with the state government towards protecting the mining sector in the state.
The Council of Obas made its supports on Tuesday as a condolence visit was paid to the State Governor, Seyi Makinde.
In a press conference held at the new Press Conference Centre, Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan, the Olugbon of Oriilegbon, Oba Francis Alao, on behalf of other Obas, commended the proactiveness of Governor Seyi Makinde over last Tuesday Bodija Blast which greatly addressed security lapses, medicals, among others related to the incident.
The Council of Obas and traditional leaders noted that its council is ready to support the state and federal government’s effort at improving and protecting the mining sectors in Oyo State and the country, at large.
Meanwhile, Oba Francis Alao urged the residents to promptly inform the government and related security agencies against explosion, environmental degradation and environmental hazards for local security and intelligence gathering.
