Not less than 700 individuals benefitted in a medical eye outreach of the Lions Club of Nigeria, Oyo State Chapter.
The medical outreach organised Lions Club and Chaired by Lion Folasade Akinola was said to be the most resounding success of the Club.
According to the Lion Akinola, the Club has ever conceived the idea of revolutionizing its environment, noting that the 700 individuals who benefitted in the 2023 Medical outreach had their eyes screened freely, for an effective sight.
“The Lions Club World Sight Day event made a significant impact on the community by providing access to eye screening and glasses to those in need.”
” The presence of subsidized eye surgeries ensured that individuals with more advanced eye conditions could receive the necessary treatment at an affordable cost.”
“This event not only improved the overall eye health of the community but also enhanced their quality of life.”
“The collaboration and support from various stakeholders, along with the dedication of Lion Leaders, contributed to the event’s positive impact on the community.”

The Club maintained that it is one of its responsibilities to strengthen community health,which would further help to improve the standard of living of the people, noting that this motive made the Club to subsidize eye surgery for affected citizens.
Meanwhile, Ido local government area vowed to partner in its four phase scheduled for 2024.
