Afijio Local government legislative arms under the House led by its leader, Hon. Ajao Amos Oladipupo has suspended the vice chairman of the council, Hon. Mrs. Oyebamiji Oluwatoyin Abiona.
Abiona was alleged of misappropriation, attempt to murder, and misuse of power
attempted murder of most political heads in the local government, and breach of community peace that warranted civil unrest in the local government among others
The councillors also suspended three of their members, Hon. Oguntoyinbo Tope John, representing Ward 7, Awe, Hon. Babatunde Adebunmi representing Ward 8, Akinmorin/Jobele and Hon. Ajayi Sunday representing Ward 2, Jobele.
Oguntoyinbo, Babatunde, and Ajayi were suspended indefinitely after they were confirmed to be involved in the attack on the council legislative building, instigating thugs to disrupt the house activities and prevention from its official duties, which resulted in carting away the House symbol.
A resolution by the legislators made available to newsmen in Oyo on Friday mandated the vice chairman to vacate her position with immediate effect having confessed and admitted to all allegations before the state security authorities in Ibadan.
The three lawmakers having found guilty were ordered to stay away from legislative duties indefinitely.
