Azeez Akintola Musbau popularly known as ‘Action’ has admonished adherents of Islam to place the welfare of their neighbours as important as theirs and should also ensure sharing of love and material possessions at their disposal to others.
Okeho-born Lawmaker made this admonition in a release which he personally signed on occasion of Eid-el-Kabir celebration and made it available to news men.
The Lawmaker who noted that the celebration, which is to honour the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son(Ismael) as an act of obedience to God’s command, remains a unique festivity which its moral and religious lessons should be strictly adhered to.
He maintained that, as Muslims in Kajola LG, Oyo State, Nigeria and world as a whole celebrate the unique day of Eid-el-Adha, it becomes important and necessary that Muslims should prioritise the welfare of their neighbours as important as theirs and moreover share love and material possessions at their disposal to others.
He added that, doing this remains an indication of showing and sharing love and happiness to the hearts of those who are in need in the society.
Musbau Action charged all adherents of Islam to ensure that the material possessions at their disposal should be judiciously and religiously utilised to improve the living conditions of others around them.
On essence of celebration, he reiterated that, it is in honour of the willingness and readiness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son(Ismael) as an act of obedience to God’s command.
Adding that, the strong and firm faith demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim(A.S.W) to sacrifice his son in line with his earlier promise to Allah,had truly nicknamed him ‘Father of Faith’.
He charged all Muslims to examine and learn from Prophet Ibrahim whose strong faith and belief in oneness of Allah till today made him unforgettable prophet of God.
The Lawmaker added that, the adherents of Islam should not celebrate alone but should also reflect on moral and spiritual lessons that it teaches.
He however asked them all to use the period of celebration to pray for Nigeria and her leaders on importance to make life better for all and sundry.
