Oyo State 10th House of Assembly has assured of accessible and responsive assembly in the country.
This was made on Tuesday shortly after the proclamation made by the clerk of the House, Mrs Yemisi Awe during the inaugural speech delivered by the second term elected speaker and member representing Ibarapa East State Constituency ,Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin at the Hallowed chamber,secretariat, Ibadan.
Ogundoyin noted that his legislative team would ensure historical legislative framework beyond the 9th Assembly.
He added that the 10th Assembly would deliver better representation, and co-operation for a fulfilled future of the state with every stakeholder and that its agenda would be towards peace in attaining greater socio-development in the state.
” It is a great joy that we have just been inaugurated as the 10th Assembly but it is a pressure for better performance which will also set a historical legislative framework beyond the said succeeded 9th Assembly”, Ogundoyin said.
Earlier, the speaker and deputy, Abiodun Fadeyi were elected unopposed in a nomination sponsored by Hon. Rasak Mabaje(Ido), Adeola Bamidele(Iseyin/Itesiwaju) seconded by Hon. Babajide Gabriel( Ibadan North II) and Hon. Olusola Owolabi(Ibadan North East II) describing the most superior officers as sagacious, talented, history writers and progressive minded being instrumental to the laudable achievements of Governor Seyi Makinde in his first term.
