A popular Nigeria inspirational singer,Lanre Teriba has called for a working system in the country.
Teriba stated this on Monday ahead of the Easter Celebration holding on Sunday 9 April.
Teriba noted that the country is a perfect place to live on the planet of the Earth, added religious intolerance, distrust, and self-centredness remain the bane of peace in the country.
” My heart bleeds for my country, Nigeria. Nigerians are the main problem of Nigeria. We only blame our government, forgetting that we are also the government.
“I grew up seeing haters up and down for no reason in my country, Nigeria. Some will make enemies out of people they don’t even know. Some even inherit the enemies of their friends and gang up with more people to hate you for their selfish interests.
“I took my time to study my country people inside out and I discovered that even Jesus Christ can’t rule Nigerians to their satisfaction. After all, when he was alive, he wasn’t loved by all. That’s why we are humans – insatiable wants”
Teriba urged Nigerians to permit the thriving of democracy and functional system which will engender good leadership, employment, love and tolerance and resounding progress in the country.
“Having said all this, the only thing I can suggest is that we continue to advocate for a system that can work for all. A system that empowers the masses, a system that enables leaders to achieve their goals. It’s not just about the leaders. Followers also need to be sensitized and purified, especially those who will not stop at any length to criticize and trash anything or anyone who disagrees with them physically or online.
“I hope the youth will now know better. They are our hope, and they should realize the power of love, tolerance, and peace. Let there be love. Let everyone have sincere love towards one another. Let’s make corrections with love and learn that these are the only ways that this country can move forward”.
Meanwhile, Teriba enjoined Nigerians to give room for unity and co-operation in the country as this will foster public- leaders relationship.
