As it stands, the incumbent Governor of Oyo State,Seyi Makinde is leading in polls cast at the Ona-Ara Local Government Area of the state on Saturday 18th March,2023 for Gubernatorial Election.
The results of as collated at the Independent National Electoral Commission,Ona -Ara Local Government Collation Headquarters has revealed on Saturday evening that Makinde has cleared the entire 11 wards and 150 Polling units in the area.
Meanwhile, the results which are yet to be officially announced by the returning officer in the Area has shown that the current Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde has defeated the All Progressives’ Congress, APC Gubernatorial Candidate, Teslim Folarin, who equally voted in the Area with a huge margin.
Going by the results which are trickling in Ona-Ara Local Government, Area of Oyo State, it is obvious that the Gubernatorial Candidate of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Governor Seyi Makinde is leading with wider margin.
From the results released so far across the 150 polling units and 11 wards in the Area, PDP is leading in all with wide margin.
At unit 2, Ward 01, PDP scored 183 while APC had 33 votes, results that came from unit 15, Ward 5, PDP had 196 while APC 89 votes.
At Unit 2, Ward 5, Idi Ose, PDP had 331, while APC scored 184 votes, unit 08 Ward 5 showed that PDP had 264 and APC scored 52.
At unit 007, Ward 14, PDP had 123, while APC scored 50 votes, unit 11, ward 05, PDP had 492 and APC scored 127.
Recall, on Friday 10th March, the Chairman and Proprietor,Ilaji Hotels and Resorts,Dr Dotun Sanusi and the Ibadan chieftains pledged their support for the Governor, noted that the entire 11 Local Government Areas in Ibadan will be delivered to Makinde including Ona-Ara Local Government.
