It was pomp and pageantry in the ancient city of Iseyinland, Iseyin Local Government, Area of Oyo State as the Political Head Iseyin South, Local Council Development Area, Hon. Fasasi Raheem Ajibola(FM), Chairman, Adult &Non-Formal Education in Oyo State, Hon. Ayo Olopoenia Olowosoke, Adekunle Tanwa, Tosin Peller and Surveyor Fadiran Dasola organized appreciation walk for Governor Seyi Makinde.
The walk that was championed by Oke-Ogun Youth Volunteers took place on Saturday, February 11, which its take off point began at Ansar-Ud-Deen Primary School, Okutapemo to LAUTECH Campus, Okeho, Road, Iseyin.
It was a joyous and blissful walk that encompassed staunch supporters and admirers of PDP and Governor Seyi Makinde who trekked with smiles, joy and admiration without showing any sign of fatigue nor tiredness for almost two hours that the engagement lasted.
While addressing supporters at LAUTECH Campus, FM appreciated those who identified with appreciation walk for GSM, noting that their identification showed their unflinching support for both Governor and the Party.
FM stressed that Makinde deserved appreciation for his execution of countless projects in Iseyin, Oke-Ogun and Oyo State at large.
Iseyin South Political Head maintained that LAUTECH which became feasible under Makinde’s led administration started as only signpost during late Ajimobi’s regime, who gave no single structure to justify erection of the sign post.
Olopoenia submitted that Makinde deserved second terms of office sequel to his ability to record notable achievements which he itemised as 65KM Moniya-Iseyin Road, Saki Township Dual Carriage, Tede General Hospital, Renovated OYSADA Complex Saki, 38KM Oyo-Iseyin Road, Saki Ogbooro-Igboho Road, 76KM Iseyin-Fapote-Ogbomoso Road.
Not only but also added Kishi Township Mini Stadium, Saki Township Mini Stadium, Iseyin Township Mini Stadium, Rehabilitation of Iganna, Elekokan, Iganna, Igbo-Ora Road and Construction of Primary Health Centres in each ward across the zone respectively.
Chief Adekunle Tanwa, who is also the Aare of Kosoland thanked every member who participated at the appreciation walk and however asked them all to prepare actively for campaign rally that is coming up in Iseyin on Monday.
Fadiran Dasola said, appreciation walk for Makinde was staged with a view to showing gratitude to him on what he had done as a current Governor of pacesetter State, adding that Makinde would do more if elected for second terms of office.
Tosin Peller enjoined people to go back to their polling units and begin mobilization that would ensure reelection of Makinde and other PDP candidates at the polls slated for February 25 and March 11 respectively.
