The wife of the 2023 PDP Presidential Candidate, Titi Abubakar has arrives the ancient city of Ibadan on Monday.
The purpose of her visit is to orientate women on the need to vote massively for her husband , Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and the vice presidential candidate,Dr Ifeanyi Okowa in the forthcoming general elections beginning from February 25th to March 11th ,2023.
Mrs Titi Abubakar as at the time of filling this report has touched the soil of Oyo State , being welcomed by the Deputy Director of Campaign,Women Campaign Council (South) and a former minister of state, Mrs Jumoke Akinjide at the Ibadan Airport, Alakia Ibadan,Oyo state to the state.
The wife of the presidential candidate will be presiding over a town hall meeting holding at the Ogunlesi Hall, University College Hospital, Ibadan from 10.00am with the theme” South west women of substance”.
In a quick speaking with the newsmen at the Ibadan Airport, the deputy Director of Campaign,Women Campaign Council Wing (South), and a former minister of state, Oloye Jumoke Akinjide stated that the presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is a pathfinder and light to all governmental inadequacies in the country
” Alhaji Atiku Abubakar understand the political terrain of this country having begun democratic leadership alongside Olusegun Obasanjo in the year 1999 in the country and never one with a state’s administrative experience nor one who is a myopia in the world of politics”, Akinjide said.
Dignitaries expected at the event will include women stakeholders in Oyo State and Nigeria, Professor stella Effah-Attoe among others
Recall, last Thursday at the Mapo Hill, the wife of the presidential candidate under the people’s Democratic party (PDP), Titi Abubakar called all women and youths to robe her with beads, to mean that her husband should be made a preferred Candidate at the forthcoming general polls, adding that Atiku Abubakar has earmarked ten million dollars for youth and women empowerment across the country if elected , with total upgrade of education and security.
