The ancient town of Iseyin, Iseyin Local Government, Area of Oyo State had on Wednesday, January 5, received creme de la creme and countless supporters from both near and far, as the Accord Candidate for Oyo North Senatorial District, Hon. Shina Peller flagged-off campaign for his ambition into red chamber of National Assembly.
The colourful and epoch making occasion of the campaign Flagg off took place at Adabo Market, Ode-Oba in the ancient town of Iseyinland.
Peller who is currently representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa Federal Constituency at the green chamber of National Assembly in his welcome speech, said that his eagerness and readiness to represent the senatorial district was a liberation mission aimed at elevating Oke-Ogun with ten(10) local governments from its alleged under representation and marginalization.
Adding that, Ogbomoso with three(3) local governments has had fair representation of the senatorial district at the expense of Oke-Ogun zone with ten(10) local governments.
Iseyin-born politician characterised Senator Buhari Abdul Fatai(BAF) who is seeking to represent the senatorial district for the third times, as a selfish and self centred person who believes there is no else qualified in Oke-Ogun for the task ahead.
He noted that, what he had done as a federal lawmaker for the constituents of federal constituency were okay to convince people for acceptance of his candidature for senatorial ambition.
Shina Peller expatiated that, he had touched areas of security, health, infrastructures, appointments for constituents and youth empowerments among others.
He promised to do more if elected and also leverage on acquired experiences and knowledge for service delivery.
In another vein, the Gubernatorial Candidate of the party, Adebayo Abdul-Waheed Adelabu said, Accord Party had been so fair, just and equitable in allocation of contested political offices to zones in Oyo State.
Adding that, the party zoned the senatorial ticket for Oyo North Senatorial District to Oke-Ogun, while Prof. Ayanfemi Ayandele from Ogbomoso is the Deputy Governorship candidate of the party.
As democracy cannot be sustained without fairplay, equity and justice, Adelabu stressed that the party had toed path of righteousness in distributing political positions to all zones in pacesetter state.
Asking people to vote accord party at the general elections slated for February 25 and March 11, noting that the party remains the one with unique blueprint to cater for the masses regardless of any disparity.
In his speech, the party’s national chairman, Muhammad Nalado handed over the party flag to Shina Peller and other candidates and however asked people to see accord party as the primus inter pare which can rescue them from the current hardship.

Shina Peller, party chairman, Comrade Kola Ojo, other state executive members, chairmen in Oyo North Senatorial District, House of Reps’ Candidates, party leaders, elders, local executives and others respectively.
