Oyo State House of Assembly under the leadership of Rt Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin has passed 310, 432, 500,000(three hundred and ten billion, four hundred and thirty two million and five hundred thousand naira and zero as 2023 budget.
The house during its plenary session presided by its speaker,Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin , having considered the bill clause by clause passed the bill with the proposition of 310,432,500,000.00( three hundred and ten billion, four hundred and thirty two million and five hundred thousand naira and zero kobo(310,432,500,000.00) against 310,026,000,000.00( three hundred and ten billion, twenty six million naira)
“Presented by Gov. Seyi Makinde on 3rd November,2022 ,now being the amended budget finance bill until December 31st ,2023”.
Speaking to Newsmen after the plenary,vice chairman on Budget and Appropriation also a member representing Egbeda State Constituency and as well deputy majority leader,Hon. Samson Olasunkanmi Babalola stressed that the budget passed will engender sustainable development of the state as proposed.
” No doubt the budget will promote economic growth and development when fully implemented .
“You can see that it took the House rigorous efforts before the budget passage
” Meanwhile, it should be well stated that waste project in the state tagged ‘ waste to wealth ‘ is practicable in the developed countries, and it is beginning to thrive here in Oyo state, no concern as no fund is allocated to the agency in the 2023 budget, the man in charge, Mr Ade Adewuyi is up to the task”, Babalola concluded.
