Makinde’s Government Underplays Clerics, School Governing Council, Failure At Last — Folarin

A- three term serving senator and 2023 APC Oyo State Gubernatorial candidate, Teslim Folarin described the present led administration in the state , under the political Party, People’s Democratic party,Seyi Makinde as a government without any concern for clerics and sound education in the state.
Folarin stated this on Wednesday at a campaign flag-off ceremony organized in honour of disfavoured 2019 ADC Gubernatorial Aspirant, Engr. Remi Oseni, who vies for a seat at the Federal House of Representatives in the forthcoming 2023 General Elections at City Event Centre,Gbopa Ologuneru, Ibadan.
” It is a sad situation to have a sum of N7,000 as allowances to traditional rulers in Oyo state, as though everybody understands that prices of things have gone up astronomically
” I do not want to stress on the fact that the administration in the state fails to associate with you”
Folarin regrettably regarded the present administration in Oyo state as destructive and irresponsible
“The issue of 50 schools delisted in Oyo state by West African Examination Council this year 2022, precisely this November is an indication that the present led administration does not hold sound education on high esteem”
” The meaning is that for the next two years , the delisted schools will be disadvantaged from conducting final internal examinations in their respective schools, but will have to arrange their candidates for examination writing elsewhere”
The 2023 APC Gubernatorial candidate in Oyo state, Folarin added that it is a sign of irresponsibility and unaccountability for the present administration never to have accepted defeat in the affected sector
” The sitting governor ought to have come out to take the responsibility of state Ministry of Education’s failure, traceable to collapse of school governing council which could have helped in school regulation”
Folarin noted that the present administration will commit more errors if principals, teachers and parents of affected schools are penalized
” Let me categorically add that graduating students of the affected schools in future may be stigmatized in the later future in the society as references are made to delisted schools
” Take for instance, Lagelu Grammar school is among the delisted schools, any students from the school between now and five years time ,may be marginalized “
The APC Gubernatorial candidate assured the constituents of total recognition, support and representation by all contesting APC Candidates in Oyo state, one of whom is Remi Oseni who was endorsed.
Meanwhile, Folarin called on the Ido/Ibarapa East Constituents to ensure delivery of 85 percents of votes in favour of APC in the country and as well their Candidate
” The present administration in Oyo has only two months and days to vacate office

“Only APC can give you all due recognition, and that is why voting for the party is eminent as to really enjoy good democracy”, Folarin concluded.
