The APC Candidate for Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa Federal Constituency of Oyo State, Engr(Dr) Soliu Abu Gbadamosi has described the tasks of lawmaker as ones that requires adequate knowledge in order to attain optimal performance.
Abu Gbadamosi who just bagged his Doctor of Philosophy(PhD) research in Chemical Engineering disclosed this while featuring on HOT SEAT programme organised by Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ), OkeOgun Federated Chapel at Greenland Hotel in Iseyin, Iseyin Local Government, Area of Oyo State.
Ilero-born politician stressed that, lawmaker may not be able to attain effective representation, sponsorship of notable bills/motions and oversight functions, if he/she does not possess the prerequisite knowledge that indicates competent and dynamic lawmaker.
He added that there are workings in the National Assembly which their mastery are consequent upon possession of adequate knowledge, experience and technical know-how by the lawmaker.
The Engineer by Profession said that the legislature may become a bench warmer and dormant person in the National Assembly, if he/she fails to understand the process.
Abu Gbadamosi stressed that the official language using at the plenary sessions of National Assembly is English Language but goes beyond mastery of expression and disposition of oratory prowess.
Adding that the National Assembly has its own language and is better and only understood by those who are conversant with the system, reiterating that any of the lawmakers, even first timers who can grasp this quickly do not need to wait for like 24 months before getting into system.
Abu Gbadamosi who had spent almost 20 years as a public servant in Federal Civil Service had justified his relevance and competence for the job with readiness to attain good representation of the constituents.
Promising that, if he is elected into the green chamber of National Assembly come 2023, his representation in conjunction with colleagues of same minds would unequivocally give birth to difference between living and existing, better standard of living, homes for all and enjoyable fundamental human rights among others.
