Ahead of the 2023 general elections and as campaign ban is about to be lifted, the APC Candidate for Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa Federal Constituency of Oyo State, Hon. Soliu Abu Gbadamosi has appealed to all the aspirants who jostled the ticket with him during the primary elections and other aggrieved members of the party to sheathe-the-sword for the success of the party.
Abu Gbadamosi made appeal while speaking at the party’s general meeting held at Ansarudeen Primary School, Ilua, Kajola Local Government of the State.
The Ilero-born politician called on all members of the party, irrespective of their affiliations to help by reaching out to aggrieved ones, especially all aspirants who contested against him during the primary elections.
He maintained there were ‘No victor, no vanquished’ adding that his emergence as the candidate was divine and opportunity for him to contribute his own qouta for the betterment of all and sundries across the federal constituency.
The House of Reps candidate however promised to begin a familiarization tour to each ward in the Local Government, to ascertain their needs.
He also pledged to begin skill acquisitions and empowerment programme for the aged in the progressive fold, stressing that the gestures would cater for their survival.
He reiterated his commitment to ensure better representation once he comes out victorious in the election for the betterment of the constituents.
Also speaking is Candidate for Kajola State Constituency, Hon. Musbau Action, who commended one of the chieftains of the APC in the state, Alhaji Abu Adejare Gbadamosi for his support that saw to his emergence at the party’s primaries, pledging that he would not betray the confidence repose in him.
Earlier in his address, Alhaji Abu Adejare Gbadamosi enjoined members to vote Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for president, Senator Teslim Folarin for Governor, Senator Fatai Buhari for Senate(Oyo North Senatorial District), Soliu Abu Gbadamosi for House of Representatives and Musbau Action for Oyo State House of Assembly.
He noted that, voting only Tinubu cannot guarantee expected development adding that voting all progressive candidates from top to bottom would facilitate the promulgation of good laws that are needed for attainment of good governance.
He however appealed to the aggrieved members to forget all grievances and ensure that the party remain indivisible for its success in the coming 2023 elections.
Another chieftain of the party from the local government, PA Michael Ariori, noted that fielding Tinubu as the party’s presidential candidate remains the best opportunity for the Yoruba race, calling on all and sundry to give their mandates to him and other party’s candidates in order to triumph at the next year’s general elections.
The general meeting which was coordinated by the party’s local government chairman, Mr Ademola Jacob Siyanbade and Secretary, Mr Tajudeen Shittu had in attendance; the party elders, leaders, local executive members, ward chairmen, women wings, youth wings and members across eleven wards of Kajola Local Government.
