Members of Trades men and Artisans across the six states of Southwest have declared their total support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC Presidential Candidate in order to become the next president of Nigeria.
Asiwaju’s endorsement for presidency was sealed at the stakeholders’ meeting of Southwest Trades men and Artisans held in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
In their remarks, Alhaji Yisau Kolayode Hamzat, Alhaji Chief Nurudeen Buhari and Artisan Anthony Ayodele Oluwagbemiga, The Presidents of Oyo, Lagos and Ogun Trades Men and Artisans maintained same position on endorsement of Asiwaju for presidency and justified reasons that he needs to be supported.
They added that Asiwaju has firm and convincing learsdhip qualities to lead Nigeria and he would do better when he is voted for as the next president.
Earlier, Buhari who represents Lagos State stated in their meeting that Southwest Artisans have collectively accepted to work for the ambition of the APC Presidential Candidate and they have however agreed that Lagos State Government would welcome them with readiness to cater for their welfare.
At the meeting which they unveiled their motto/slogan as “Up Artisans, Unity We Stand”, Buhari maintained they have spoken in one voice and they are standing on their decisions to ensure that Jagaban becomes the next president of Nigeria.
In another vein, Buhari disclosed that the purpose of monthly meeting was consequent upon their eagerness to speak in one voice, develop skills among members and also see to advancement of members across all levels.
Alhaji Hamzat who hosted the meeting said, the stakeholders’ meeting aimed at ascertaining progress, development of members, ensuring peace and unity among members and to ensure seriousness that would call for government’s intervention on their needs and requests for progress.
Hamzat however charged all members across all states of Southwest and North central to obtain and keep their PVCs in order to use for enthronement of purposeful leadership.
Artisan Oluwagbemiga of Ogun State, disclosed that one of their objectives is to make decisions on who rules the country in order to attain government’s benefits on areas of empowerment, vocational skills and capital among others.
He admitted that, while a good government is brought onboard, the challenges of poor electricity, insecurity, expensive materials for businesses and others would be pragmatically addressed.
