Lawmaker representing Oorelope State Constituency at Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Lateef Adebunmi Ayawo has debunked his alleged defection to All Progressives Congress(APC), reiterating his commitment to PDP and reelection of Governor Seyi Makinde.
Ayawo in a statement he personally signed and made available to naijatodaynew.com described his purported defection to APC as complete propaganda and false orchestrating by his detractors who are being disturbed by his track records and achievements.
The Lawmaker stressed that he was surprised to have learnt and read that he was part of those who defected to APC with former Deputy Governor, Engr Rauf Olaniyan.
Maintaining that those who defected with Olaniyan had their names in print which his was not part of them and their alleged desperation and conspiracy.
Ayawo reiterated that those who are spreading rumours of his defection to APC are architects of destabilisation who are afraid of his rising profile and feats in politics and PDP.
He promised to continue showing his loyalty and unflinching support to PDP and Makinde so as to get reelected for second term.
Ayawo justified that Makinde’s performances in the last three years are enough testimony to enhance his stay in PDP, reiterating that Governor’s impacts have been felt across the length and breath of pacesetter state.
He said PDP remains his party and he would ensure he works diligently and selflessly to make sure that all party’s candidates emerge at the poll slated for 2023.
He however asked his alleged detractors to stop fabricating fake stories which would not do them any good but an attempt to score cheap political scores.
