Alhaji AbdRasheed Adebisi Olopoeyan, the Chieftain of New Nigeria People’s Party(NNPP) in Oyo State and Southwest has raised question”why all political parties’ billboards in Oyo State were vandalised except PDP?”.
Olopoeyan asked this question while featuring on political circuit anchored by Saheed Alatise of Noble FM 107.1, Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
Ibadan based politician who was once a member of PDP before defection to NNPP stressed that his and other chieftains’ attention of opposition parties in Oyo State were drawn to destruction of their political parties’ billboards in Ibadan and some other parts in the state.
He said he was surprised to have seen and acknowledged that all other political parties’ billboards were vandalised by agents of destruction except the ones belonging to PDP which they didn’t touch.
Why asking on suspects for the dastardly acts, Olopoeyan responded, he had knowledge that the Chairman, Park Management System(PMS) in Oyo State, Alhaji Lamidi Mukaila known as Auxiliary and his thugs were responsible for the vandalisation.
Adding that, despite the payment they made to Oyo Signage Agency over the erection of the billboards, noting that it was worrisome and painful that Auxiliary could still lead his thugs to destroy those billboards.
Olopoeyan stressed that the overbearing influence of Auxiliary is becoming too much that Governor Seyi Makinde cannot call him to an order, adding that he has been perpetrating all forms of heinous crimes and disorderliness which men of Nigeria Police in the state cannot checkmate.
He described Auxiliary as ex-convict whose influence and alleged hooliganism was vehemently checkmated by late Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
He however called on men of Nigeria Police and other Law Enforcement Agencies to swing into action on how Auxiliary and his alleged accomplices would be brought to book, maintaining that his and other parties’ chieftains’ complaints should not be treated as none issues.
On security situation of the state, Olopoeyan alleged Makinde for his failure to curb Auxiliary and his suspected accomplices to continue causing political unrest, violence and disorderliness in the state.
Maintaining that, no matter the levels of government’s performances and attainment of good governance, if people cannot sleep with their two eyes closed, those performances amount to nothing.
