Muslims worldwide mark the end of the Ramadan fast with a festival.
As millions of Nigerian Muslims join their counterparts across the world to celebrate the Eid-el-Fitri, The Ibadan north council chairman have asked Muslims in ibadan north local and Nigerians to celebrate the festival with love and unity.
The festival marks the end of the Ramadan fast and is celebrated by Muslims worldwide.
In his Sallah message to the residents of Ibadan north local government said, he joins Muslims “and all other patriotic citizens in the pious expectation that God Almighty will hearken to the supplications of the faithful and bless Ibadan North local government even more abundantly with peace, political stability and prosperity”.
In a statement by his special adviser on Media and Publicity Mr Bodija Akinwale, the council chairman said, “As they celebrate Eid-el-Fitri and the end of Ramadan, the chairman urges Ibadan north residents to continue to support the present Administration of his Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde in every possible way to ensure that the state continues to make steady progress towards the successful implementation of its agenda for positive transformation.”
