Eleven People’s Democratic Party, PDP ward chairmen in OnaAra Local Government, Area of Oyo State have endorsed Hon. Busari Olayemi as the candidate for Egbeda/OnaAra Federal Constituency.
Olayemi’s endorsement was confirmed at the meeting held on Monday, April 18, 2022 in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
Names and wards of the chairmen who had signatories to Olayemi’s endorsement are as follows: Alawode Lukman(Ward 1), Olusoji Oyekanmi(Ward 02), Atilola Olusegun(Ward 03), Aderemi Gafaru(Ward 04), Olasunmade Ismail( Ward 05), Akinade Adeboye(Ward 06), Babatunde M.O( Ward 07), Alfa Moshood Olore(Ward 08), Pastor Solomon(Ward 09), Ajayi Busari Akinola(Ward 10), Alaro Lawal(Ward 11) and Adetunji Abiona(Local Executive) respectively.
While speaking on factors that necessitated Olayemi’s endorsement, they disclosed that he has good mastery of the concept of legislation, understanding of effective representation and charisma to handle oversight functions among others.
They stressed that the former leader and Accord Party’s Candidate for the constituency in 2011/2015 has qualities of impeccable character, competence, resourcefulness, loyalty to the party and nobility among others.
Adding that, Olayemi has unprecedented achievements while he was a member of Oyo State House of Assembly and House of Representatives respectively.
Noting that, he without sentiment nor political dichotomies touched all the twenty two(22) wards that make Egbeda/OnaAra Federal Constituency while he was a member of the House of Representatives.
In his appreciation, Olayemi thanked them for having firm belief and assurance that he has what it takes to lead them at the Federal House of Representatives, assuring that if he wins at the general elections slated for 2023, he would do all that are required to lift them and the entire constituents in the Federal constituency.
In his reminiscence, he referred that the leaders’ endorsement of his candidature as a result of antecedents is worthy of appreciation.
Olayemi showed his gratitude and sincere appreciation to the leaders across the Federal Constituency for patriotic and party’s roles played to ascertain his candidature, maintaining that he would not let them down.
He however called on chairmen to swing into action and get set on how OnaAra votes would be delivered to PDP, calling their attention to the fact that Governor Seyi Makinde is so particular and concerned about votes in the local government.
He promised to fix all the needed infrastructures across the Federal Constituency, now and after elections.
