One of the leading Aspirants for the Ibadan North-East/South-East federal constituency, Hon. Ibrahim Olanrewaju Ajiboye popularly called ‘Omo Iya Eleja’ on Saturday, declared his intention to run for House of Representatives seat in 2023.
Dailywesternnews reports that Ajiboye who is contesting on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party declared his intention at the party secretariat, Odeaje, Ibadan North East.
Omo Iya Eleja, who unfolded his agenda shortly after declaring his intention at a news briefing said he was ready to serve his people diligently.
He promised that his coming into politics and interest to run for House of Representatives is majorly to serve the people and change the narratives of the average people of his constituency as far as deliverables are concerned.
He said, “ after wide consultations with party leaders and members, I, Ibrahim Olanrewaju Ajiboye Omo Iya Eleja will be running for Ibadan Northeast, Southeast federal constituency under the platform of our great party, the People’s Democratic Party.”
” Not that I just want to be an honourable member, I want to serve my people, I grew up in the environment, I understand the language, I know where shoe is pinching them, I have been helping them before now, just want an opened space where I will have the opportunity to do more.
Speaking on why he should be giving the party ticket, Omo Iya Eleja said he remains the most credible and qualified among those aspiring to take over from the Incumbent, Hon. Abass Agboworin.
” Like I said earlier, I was born and raised within the federal constituency and I have been on ground associating myself with my people for many years, I don’t just come to dole out money for election sake, am sure my antecedent and credibility will speak for me.
In his remark, PDP chairman in Ibadan North East local government, Pa. Abuye Fatokun commended for his humanitarian service to members of People’s Democratic Party and residents of Ibadan Northeast local government.
