Oyo Lawmaker, Ayawo To Extend Dividends Of Democracy, Set To Empower Constituents

Oyo State House of Assembly member, representing Oorelope State Constituency, Hon. Lateef Adebunmi Ayawo has set to empower his constituents on April 2, 2022.

The 2022 Mega Empowerment Programme has been scheduled to take place at Owode Central Motor Park, Igboho, Oorelope Local Government on April 2 by 10am.

Among items to be distributed to constituents are sewing machines, grinding machines, freezers, gas cylinders and sprayers for farmers among others.

While speaking on empowerment, Hon. Ayawo disclosed that the proposed empowerment is in line with fulfilment of promises made during electioneering campaigns across the wards that make the state constituency.

Ayawo stressed that the purpose of empowerment is to lessen hardship on constituents, take the beneficiaries out of poverty and possibly improve their standards of living.

He added that the gesture is to extend goodies and dividends of democracy to the constituents, whom he claimed are the pillars who ensured his emergence and representation at the State House of Assembly.

He maintained that the beneficiaries would be picked across the wards that make Oorelope State Constituency.

Calling on those who are constituents but would not be benefited in empowerment to exercise patience, that life is turn by turn.

Oyo PDP Lawmaker however called on constituents to throw their weight behind Governor Seyi Makinde in order to coast home to victory in the general elections that are slated for 2023.

Also, called on constituents to pray for him as a lawmaker in order to attain more success as he represents them in the 9th Assembly.
