Chairman, Ilero Youth Progressive in Iwa Local Council Development Area(LCDA), Kajola Local Government, Area of Oyo State, Comrade Ogunkanbi Olalekan has described late Deacon(Barrister) James Adeniji Ige as a man of impeccable character, integrity and honour whose demise remains a great loss, despite his death at old age.
Olalekan, in a tribute to late Barrister Ige, which he personally signed and made available to naijatodaynew.com describing Baba as a man of noble character, prestige and honour, whose death has created a vacuum in the community and society at large.
According to tribute, ” Deacon(Barrister) James Adeniji Ige whose burial arrangement is slated to March 31st -April 1st, has truly left this sinful world but his footprints can’t be erased,while his overall legacy remains for life.
“No amount of words nor expressions can expatiate the qualities, integrity and pedigree of late Baba James Adeniji Ige.
“To accord him an eulogy, Baba was a father of not only his children but also to others, as he nurtured and groomed many children whose lives would have been wasted.
On area of human relation and investment in human capital development, he said, “Baba stood thick and thin regardless of all odds to ensure he raised many to attain peaks in life, for the benefit of selves and others in the community.
“Baba Deacon, was an educationist whose exposure and wide connections had earned him popularity and dignity in the community, and by extension.
Not only that, but also used his education, exposure, connections and oratory prowess to better and improve the society for the betterment of all and sundry.
On how late Barrister Ige assisted him personally, he stressed that, “as a living witness to Baba’s good deeds, he laid a good legacy to the children both youths and old ones.I could remember wen I completed my Senior Secondary School, WAEC, I met baba at PZ in Ilupeju Industry Mosafejo Oshodi, Lagos to assist me working under his reputable organisation, Baba was bitterly annoyed with me, saying I needed to further my education instead of wasting time working here, he further encouraged me to come staying with him in his house so that I could properly face my education.
“Before God called him to glory, I used to meet him at Oko-Oba Road where his residence is situated, he thought me about Christian life and also urged me to bring all my children for elderly blessings.
With reference to Baba’s true colour, Olalekan maintained that,” he was a man of impeccable character, nobility, moral uprightness, and decency among other qualities, which are worthy of emulation by the living ones.
“Barrister remained an Icon and hero of Ileroland, who had passionately and patriotically contributed to the growth and progress of the community and beyond.
“We will sorely miss Baba on areas of his pure love to the community, readiness to assist all and eagerness to lift many from hardship to prosperity.
He prayed, “may God grant Baba eternal rest and give us the fortitude to bear the huge loss!.”, the tribute ended.
