The Political Heads, Local Council Development Areas, LCDAs in Oyo State have lavished encomiums on Governor Seyi Makinde over completion Oroki/Sabo/Gedu road in ancient town of Oyo.
The words of praise and gratitude were contained in a statement that is jointly signed by the duo of Hon. Adigun Tajudeen Adeniyi, Chairman & Political Head, Ibadanwest LCDA and Hon. Fasasi Raheem Ajibola(FM), Secretary of the forum and Political Head, Iseyin South LCDA shortly after their monthly meeting in Oyo township.
They stressed that Gov Makinde deserved commendation and gratitude for ensuring that Oroki/Sabo/Gedu road in Oyo becomes motorable for the residents within and outside the ancient town of Oyo.
The duo duo maintained that Makinde remains a leader and man of his words, who had earlier promised to fulfill all promises made during the last electioneering campaigns.
They added that the completion of Oyo road would not only promote the economy of the community but also added to beautification of the place.
In a similar vein, the Political Heads also hailed the Governor for his intention and readiness to build Airport in OkeOgun axis of the pacesetter.
They stressed that, if the proposed Airport is built in the zone, its economy would improve, employments would be generated and the place would be better known in Nigeria and beyond.
They called on him to do all it takes to ensure that the standard airport is sprang up in the zone for the benefits of its dwellers and Oyo State at large.
In another vein, they however condemned the consistent vituperations of the Chieftain of All Progressives Congress(APC), Hon. Akeem Alao against Gov Makinde for cheap political popularity.
They asked Akeem Alao to seek alternative method of playing politics to gain popularity, instead of verbal attacks, derogatory statements and unwarranted utterances, which could not be found of someone with impeccable character, decency and prestige.
The Political Heads however called on him to start practising politics of grassroots, which would no doubt give him the needed and expected cheapest popularity.
They commended Hon. Nureni Alade, The Political Head of Oyo West and his counterpart in Sooro LCDA, Hon. Olunloyo for the host and readiness to provide the needed hospitality over fruitful engagement and success of their monthly meeting.
