Despite the fuel scarcity that is biting harder across the country, The Managing Directress, MD Bovas & Company Limited, Mrs Victoria A. Samson has been commended by Oyo State House of Assembly for making fuel available for Nigerians.
They equally hailed her for promising to make fuel available to members and staff of Oyo State House of Assembly, in order to meet up with their legislative activities.
Hon. Lateef Olayiwola Odebunmi, Chairman House Committee on Special Duties made this known while speaking with the crew of naijatodaynew.com in his office, at the State House of Assembly.
Adebunmi, who represents Oorelope State Constituency disclosed that MD’s promise was a result of fruition of interaction session with her and members of staff of Bovas Filling Stations.
He stressed that the house had meeting with Mama and her led team on Tuesday, March 1st on current fuel scarcity in the country and equally lavished encomiums on her for her humanitarian services to make fuel available at official regulated price despite its scarcity across the country.
Oyo Lawmaker maintained that, it was a fruitful engagement that lasted for almost 2 hours, while Mama promised that she would make fuel available to members and staff of the State House of Assembly.
He said that the tabulation had been structured on how they would have access to procurement of petroleum product on Mondays to Fridays at Bovas Filling Stations, Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
While narrating on reasons that necessitated the facilitation of meeting, Adebunmi disclosed that Oyo State House of Assembly has been unable to meet up with its legislative activities since the scarcity of fuel emerged.
He added that they do have their plenary session on Tuesday and Thursday of every week but they could not proceed on many occasions while there was no fuel to power the generating sets that supply electricity.
Chairman, House Committee on Special Duties, commended MD for granting their request for possibility of legislative assignments.
On ongoing scarcity of fuel, Mama was reported to have said that the hardship may linger, provided the Russian-Ukrainian war is not called to an end on time.
