Indigenes of Iseyin Local Government, Area of Oyo State have shown their appreciation to Governor Seyi Makinde over monumental and laudable projects that the Governor had fixed in the ancient town.
The indigenes under the able leadership of His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulganiy Salau Oloogunebi had on Tuesday, January 18 led many sons and daughter of the ancient town on solidarity visit to Makinde, in respect of laudable infrastructures which the Governor had fixed.
The Political Head, Iseyin South, Local Council Development Area(LCDA) , Hon. Fasasi Raheem Ajibola(FM) lavished encomiums on the Governor of pacesetter state, in an appreciative message he personally signed and made available to naijatodaynews.com.ng
FM stressed that Makinde can be described as an icon leader and visionary administrator who does not in any way jettison any promise made to people regardless of enormous tasks at his disposal.
He maintained that Iseyin and its people owe him an appreciation because he had within two and half years in office completed Iseyin-Moniya road spanning 65 kilometres, expedited action on location of Ladoke Akintola Technology(LAUTECH) College of Agriculture and Renewable Resources and the ongoing Iseyin-Oyo road construction.
Adding that Makinde had recently approved Iseyin-Fapote-Ogbomoso road, placed street light electrification at three strategic locations within Iaeyin metropolis.
FM disclosed that Makinde’s monumental and developmental projects are no doubt aimed at developing the ancient town and OkeOgun at large.
While commending him, The Political Head emphasized that Makinde remains a good lover of education and his priority is unequivocally premised on readiness and eagerness to ensure that the pacesetter state maintains her status of excellence and primus inter pares among others in the federation.
FM added that the governor had thought it wisely to ascertain that OkeOgun axis of the state is connected with cities in terms of road network, justifying that the ancient town is better positioned to link other towns in the axis with the cities, most especially, Ibadan, the capital of the state.
He said that Makinde had already written his name in the Guinness Book of record, having patriotically and genuinely embarked and completed many monumental projects, which they had earlier assumed they could not be attended to, in twenty years to come.
Iseyin born leader described Makinde as a promised keeper, a man of trust and integrity who did not make empty promise, while on electioneering campaign before 2019 general election.
FM stressed that he believes Governor Makinde has many developmental programmes and masses’ applaudable policies which could be completed in the next four years, tagging his reelection as the will of God 2023 and charging the Governor to throw his hat into the ring for another term of four years, in order to fulfill the remaining promises.
FM promised that the people of Iseyin Land would use their votes to appreciate Makinde, based on notable infrastructures, monumental projects and goodies of good governance which are being extended into the axis.
In another vein, he hailed former Senator, who represented Oyo Senatorial District at the Red Chamber of National Assembly between 2007-2011, Senator Gbenga Babalola and the National President, Iseyin Development Union(IDU) Alhaji Bayo Raji for providing logistics, which facilitated easy movement from Iseyin to Ibadan.
FM commended the duo for showing pure and genuine patriotism towards the growth and development of Iseyinland, praying that they would continue to wax stronger and be relevant with time.
