Tinubu Lands In Oyo State, To Visit Families Of Soun, Olubadan, Alao-Akala

Barring last minutes’ change of plan, Bola Tinubu, national leader and presidential hopeful in the All Progressives Congress, APC, is expected in Oyo State today.

Sources close to the former Lagos governor told this newspaper that he would be paying condolence visit to the families of departed Oba Jimoh Oyewumi and Oba Saliu Adetunji, Soun of Ogbomoso and Olubadan of Ibadan respectively. He would also be visiting the family of late former governor Adebayo Alao-Akala.

While Oba Oyewumi and Oba Adetunji died on December 12, 2021 and January 2, 2022 respectively, Alao-Akala died on January 12, 2022.

Oba Oyewumi was aged 95, Olubadan 93 and Alao-Akala 71.

One of the sources further hinted that Tinubu will be landing in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital, after which he and his entourage would embark on a 30 minutes’ drive to Ogbomoso where he would meet the Oyewumis and Alao-Akalas. He will end his trip at the palace of Oba Adetunji in the afternoon.
