The Corps Marshal of the FRSC, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi, made this known, on Wednesday, in an interaction with newsmen, after he paid a courtesy visit on Governor Seyi Makinde, at the Governor’s Office, Agodi Secretariat, Ibadan.
Boboye, who said he was in town for a review of road traffic plans for the yuletide with the governor, noted that he received a lot of cheery news about the bypass from lagos to Ibadan-Ife road and other road infrastructural projects going on, which should be completed before the end of 2022 and take off traffic from the urbanisation within the state.
He further disclosed that he came to brief the governor on the efforts made by the FRSC within Oyo State and the fringes of the state in terms of road traffic management for the yuletide, noting that the agency is working with all the stakeholders, especially the Nigeria Police, Civil Defence and the state traffic management agency to ensure safety on the roads.
Concerning the rehabilitation work on the Ibadan- Ife road, Boboye said the traffic density is more than what it was before, urging people to be patient until the completion of the road.
In his remark, Governor Seyi Makinde expressed the pleasure of his administration at receiving the Corps Marshal in the state, declaring that such a visit is a demonstration of the cooperation between the state government and federal agencies.
