kajola Local Government of Oyo State, under the auspices of Peace and Security Committee has held an enlarged security meeting which involved stakeholders from various sectors to appraise the security situation in the council area.
The meeting came up on Thursday 9th September, 2021 at the Conference Room of the Local Government’s Secretariat, Meseole, Okeho.
In his speech while declaring the meeting open, the Executive Chairman of Kajola Local Government, Honourable ( Alhaji ) Salimonu Adebayo Afolabi ( Borikansunwon ) noted that the meeting was called to appraise the security architecture of the council area.
He praised the untiring efforts of all the security formations and assured them that his administration would continue to give priority to security of lives and properties to douse the tension often created by crimes and chase out criminal elements who indulge in terrorising innocent people.
In their separate reports, representatives of the security formations all sought for the support of the Chairman and the management in their operations to curb insecurity.
The expanded security meeting involved the Police, Immigration, DSS, NSCDC, NDLEA, FRSC, Operation Burst, Amotekun Security Network, Vigilante Group of Nigeria ( VGN ), Local Vigilante Group, Oodua Peoples Congress ( OPC ), Soludero Security Group and Local Hunters, as well as traditional rulers, community leaders, religious leaders, ethnic leaders, women representative, farmers’ representative and transport unions, among other stakeholders.
