The Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Egbeda/OnaAra Federal Constituency Liaison Office in Oyo State, Hon. Akinlolu James Adegboyega Akin Oosa has organized remembrance prayer for his late parents who died in 80s.
The prayer which was organized in Islamic way, held at his home in Ibadan on Thursday, July 22 and presided over by the music clerics and Alfas with attendance of Akin Oosa’s friends and admirers.
The Muslim Cleric praised Akin Oosa for organising prayer for his parents who had died almost 40 years ago, describing him a noble son and religious adherent who knows the importance of prayer to the deceased.
The cleric disclosed that despite the long number of years which his parents had gone on a journey of no return, Akin Oosa has never forgotten to pray and organize collective prayers for his late parents.
Makinde’s Aide, while speaking with the crew of naijatodaynews.com said his mother died in 1982 while the father left the sinful world in 1989, stressing that the vacuum left by the duo cannot be easily filled by anyone after their long numbers of demise.
Akin Oosa stressed that he was too small while he lost them to cold hands of death, that he was only survived by the grace of God whose infinite mercy in his life guides and protects him till today.
He said his father was a teacher whose transfer from one school to the other made him not to be stationary at a particular place, adding that while he got transfer from a particular school, he had to follow him.
Akin Oosa described father as a life enjoyed person who derived pleasure in pleasing himself and friends with entertainment.
In another vein, he described Governor Seyi Makiinde as a mentor whose mentorship on leadership is superb and noteworthy.
He described him as a promise keeper, who ensures he fulfills any promise he makes for anyone, regardless of his/her status.
He prayed God to protect Makinde against his enemies and may he succeed in his current engagement of leading the pacesetter state.
