The Yoruba freedom fighter, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, a.k.a Sunday Igboho, has said that he would never disrespect elders, not to talk of traditional rulers in Yoruba land.
This is in response to some allegations that people make against him that he would invade Alake’s palace in Abeokuta.
Sunday Adeyemo, Igboho, has said that he should never be misquoted as he would always respect elders and traditional rulers in the south west region, because traditional rulers must be held in high esteem.
According to a statement issue by his media adviser and made available to newsmen. Mr. Dapo Salami “I have known, Igboho as a man who always respect elders. He cannot disrespect the Alake of EgbaLand.
“I Sunday Igboho would never disrespect anybody, Elders, Obas and Traditional Rulers.
The statement further stated it is not truth that Sunday Igboho is going to invade the palace of Alake palace of Egba Land.
Alake is my father and he is someone that I hold in high esteem. I can never attack my father because is the one of the most important factors in Yoruba race. I believe that baba will give us the necessary support to achieve our desire agenda.
“Those people who read a lot of stories about me may not know that I am for the Yoruba people and for Nigeria. Chief Sunday Igboho urges all and sundry to disregard any stories going around that he wants to disrespect traditional rules in the south west, adding that we are all fighting for Yoruba nation. Igboho maintained that Alake of Egbaland, His Royal Majesty Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, is a father that deserves respect from all Yoruba’s.
“We are all fighting for justice, and justice is for all”.
