Barely after 4 days he won the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP primary election as the Local Government candidate for the next election slated for Saturday, May 15, The Caretaker Chairman, Ona-Ara Local Government, Area of Oyo State, Hon Musbaudeen Adesina Sanusi Shabba has distributed educational materials to some schools within the local council.
Shabba distributed exercise books, school bags, desks and benches to about fifty(50) schools in Ona-Ara Local Government of the state.
The council boss in his speech delivered on Friday, March 13 at the Local Government Secretariat, Akanran Ibadan disclosed that the distribution of educational materials to schools in the local council was one of its kinds, after nine years ago, while PDP was in power in the pacesetter state.
Shabba added that the educational materials to schools was also in tandem with Governor Seyi Makinde’s cardinal point on readiness and eagerness to promote education in Oyo State to the next level.
He appealed to the beneficiaries of educational materials to make effective and judicious use of those items, while calling on those who are not part of the latest distribution to be patient as theirs would be taken care of in the next phase.
In another vein, Shabba appreciated God for what he has done since assumption of office and he itemised the following feats:
Opening of Alakinde/Amurire road, Grading of roads across the wards, Procurement of office furniture equipment, Building toilets and digging of deep well at St. John Primary School, Idi-Ose.
He also mentioned: Sponsorship of 5 students to Technical University, Distribution of palm seeds to the farmers, Financial aids to Community School, Akanran, Breeding of 250 broiler birds by Agric Department and Beautification of LG Secretariat respectively.
Shabba appreciated God, Governor Seyi Makinde, party leaders, loyalists and other concerned stakeholders who are giving unalloyed support and loyalty towards the success of the adminstration.
In his own contribution, the Chief Executive Officer, CEO Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort, Engr Dotun Sanusi commended Shabba for prioritising education among his laudable programmes and projects.
Ibadanborn Philanthropist stressed that no amount of money or resources committed to education is a waste, because the foundation of every state is education of its youths.
He enjoined Shabba to be more focused, determined and ready to make himself available to the residents and dwellers in Ona-Ara Local Government.
