Oyo State governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, today in his office met the members of Sen.Ladoja loyalists in the Oyo state Zenith Labour Party, ZLP to perfect plans for the fusing of the former into the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
Led by the state chairman of ZLP Comrade Wole Abisoye and the spokesperson for the Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland, Mr. Lanre Latinwo, popularly known as Lambash, about twenty of the local governments chairmen pledged their allegiance to the PDP accusing some few members of the party of dragging them to the APC without their consent.
The governor who was supported to meet the ZLP leaders by the Chairman Advisory Committee, Sen. Hosea Agboola and the Commissioner for Local Governments, Mr. Bayo Lawal expressed happiness that the people came back into the fold noting that, collectively, all worked for the success of the party at the polls in 2019.
The governor who brushed aside all other engagements for the day to attend to the ZLP leaders, promised that all legacy groups that came together to rebuild the PDP would have their own fair share in government.
He admonished them to go back to their various local governments and fuse together and work for the success of the party.
