Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has described Alhaja Nimotallah Alake Olayiwola, the late mother of Chief Omokunmi Mustapha, the chairman of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, as a good woman who made great marks on the world and left a good legacy.
The governor stated this on Friday, in a message to the chairman and his family in commemoration of the eighth day Fidau for Alhaja Olayiwola.
He noted that the place of a great mother with successful children such as Chief Mustapha will always be secured in history.
A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, quoted Makinde as commiserating with the Oyo PDP chairman and the entire family, while praying God to grant them the fortitude to bear the pain of Mama’s exit.
He said: “On behalf of the Government and good People of Oyo State, we bid our Mama, Alhaja Nimotallah Alake Olayiwola, mother of the Oyo State PDP chairman, Alhaji Omokunmi Mustapha, farewell.
“Great mothers are jewels, their places are forever secured in history and with successful children like my Chairman, there can be no gainsaying the fact that Mama made a great mark and has left a good legacy.
“I commiserate with my Chairman and his entire family and pray to God to grant them the fortitude to bear Mama’s exit at this time.
“Good night, Mama.”
