In his readiness and eagerness to empower, improve lots and generally bring succour to the constituents, The Caretaker Chairman, Iseyin South, Local Council Development Area(LCDA), Iseyin Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon. Fasasi Raheem Ajibola FM has presented cash and empowerment materials to the women and youths of the Local Government Area.
The empowerment materials which are refrigerators, clippers, rechargeable fans, generators, grinding machines, gas cookers, bajaj motorcycles and knapsack sprayers respectively, were on Wednesday, January 13 allocated to the beneficiaries whose population cuts across the eleven(11) wards in Iseyin LG.
FM while speaking with Khalid Imran, Editor, naijatodaynews.com in his office at Koso/Molete Iseyin, revealed that the purpose of empowerment materials’ allocation to the constituents was aimed at empowering and improving their lots for better standard of living.
FM added that the ravaging coronavirus pestilence had no doubt orchestrated hardship across the length and breadth of the country, stressing that the presentation of cash to petty traders, sicked people, aged ones and distribution of empowerment materials to other beneficiaries were targeted at bringing succour to their existence and livelihood.
The Council Boss said that today’s empowerment materials were just a tip of an icebag which the constituents are to enjoy under the current administration led by him at the local level, enjoining the general constituents to be optimistic that more are coming subsequently.
FM enjoined the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the cash donations and empowerment materials, stressing that, it will glad his heart and be an encouragement to the government when he hears that the cash and empowerment materials are multiplying in a geometric progression.
He thanked Governor Seyi Makinde for the given privilege to act as the current Caretaker Chairman of the LCDA and most importantly for reciprocation of his policies and programmes at the local level.
In their appreciation, Mrs Fatimoh Mojeed, one of the beneficiaries of the allocated refrigerators said that the latest empowerment programme was the third one that FM had organized since his assumption of office as the caretaker chairman.
Mojeed lavished encomiums on FM for counting her worthy as one of the main beneficiaries of the empowerment materials, enjoining him not to refrain from reducing poverty and hardship among people of his domain.
In the same vein, another beneficiary, Mr Ajibola Isiaka who benefited from Bajaj Motorcycles thanked the donor for presenting him such valuable and expensive empowerment material, praying that FM would continue to wax stronger and be more prosperous in whatever he lays his hands upon.
The programme was anchored by Information Officer of Iseyin South LCDA and had attendance of the Caretaker Chairman, FM, the Caretaker Secretary, Adetunji, The Caretaker Members, PDP Leaders, PDP Wards’ Chairmen, Women Leaders, Youth Leaders, Career Officers and party loyalists among others.
