The Lawmaker representing Ibadan South East, Constituency 1 at Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Abdullah Abdurasaq Ademola Omosheu has compensated 53 trainers with #1M for maximally engaging the youths on various vocational trainings for the last eight months.
The trainers whose vocational schools are ranged from tailoring, shoe making, computer school, make up and nylon cutting were given #10,000 each as compensation for training each trainee.
At the epoch making event that took place at Modina-Elekuro, Orita Aperin, Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State,
Omosheu said the full empowerment for the trained youths would have come into place but the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic and EndSARS’ crises hindered its possibility at the scheduled time.
He added that the feasibility of the equipment to get the trained youths engaged will be done in March 2021, enjoining the trainers to continue training the trainees pending the time their graduation will be attained.
Omosheu thanked the trainers for their patience and equally appreciated the trainees for their focus, readiness and eagerness to ensure the programme becomes successful, stressing that their equipment to get started will be unfolded in March 2021.
In his own submission, Hon. Popoola Popson who represents Ibadan South East Constituency 2 at the same House of Assembly appreciated his legislative colleague for the empowerment programme carrying out to end poverty in the society.
Popson also thanked those who stood thick and thin to ensure the training turns to success, adding that the efforts of the party leaders, loyalists and towards the success can’t be underrated.
Hon. Inakoju, the PDP Leader and former member of Oyo State House of Assembly thanked the lawmaker for the empowerment, saying the two lawmakers(Omosheu and Popson) are doing well to move the constituencies to greater heights.
Alhaji Tiamiyu Abidikugu who is also a PDP leader, said that the people needed to continue praying for Governor Seyi Makinde as APC is doing everything possible to truncate the government from attaining the success.
In his own talk, Mr Fawole Ademola who trained some youths on computer Operation thanked Omosheu for carrying out the wonderful empowerment programme without minding the huge amount it will cost to empower the trainees.
He added that the other lawmakers should emulate the duo so as to reduce poverty in the society and enhancing people’s standard of living.
It would be recalled that Omosheu enrolled about 300 youths for vocational skills around February, 2020 in Ibadan where trainees were allocated to their areas of choice and interest.
